Swiss Card Lite

Swiss Card Lite

I love this doohickey.  Sorry that might be a technical term.  Last winter,  I was watching YouTuber Love Raw Vegan explain what she carries in her purse, in one of her minimalism videos, and a little emergency tool kit similar to this was included.   I had never seen them before but I could immediately appreciate its compactness and usefulness.

Then when traveling in Switzerland in May this year I found one!  I decided that it would make a great keepsake for the trip. It was a bit of an investment at 33 euros but it was an official Swiss Army product emblazoned with the emblem.  I purchased it at one of the Victorinox Swiss Army stores.  Swiss Army calls it the Swiss Card Lite.  It includes all of the following!

  1. letter opener (blade)
  2. scissors
  3. pin stainless
  4. pressurized ballpoint pen
  5. tweezers
  6. magnifying glass
  7. screwdriver 3mm
  8. screwdriver 5 mm
  9. Phillips screwdriver for PH1 and PH2
  10. ruler (cm + inches)
  11. LED white light

It’s the size of a wallet card and therefore fits in your wallet!  I keep it in whatever purse I’m carrying, and since I bought it in May, it has proved useful a number of times.  And I’ve been able to come to the rescue MacGyver style for others (okay well maybe not life or death but still pretty sweet!).

The Victorinox store that I visited was in the town of Brunnen, on beautiful Lake Lucerne amidst stunning mountain scenery.

Love Raw Vegan got her tool card from MyTagAlongs and I see online that it sells for $10USD and includes:

  • Nail File
  • Pen
  • Tweezers
  • Toothpick
  • Flashlight
  • Magnifying Glass
  • Screwdriver

NOTE: For air travel, leave the letter opener/blade at home unless you are checking baggage, or you risk having it taken from you at security!
