Make-a-Wish charity walk with Royal Caribbean International

Make-a-Wish charity walk with Royal Caribbean International

While I was on board Royal Caribbean International’s mighty cruise ship Liberty of the Seas several years ago, it was great to see an organized walk for charity take place on the ship’s massive deck.  I spotted the ship in the Halifax Harbour (my hometown in Nova Scotia, Canada) recently and it flooded me with memories of a great trip.

Royal Carribbean International (RCI) has an ongoing partnership with Make-A-Wish, an organization that helps make wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. They commit cruise packages each year, raise funds, and promote awareness for the cause.

While I watched. cruisers paced round and round sporting Make-A-Wish t-shirts and led by the ship’s captain. I was a voyeur this time but next time count me in! Honestly I didn’t know about it until it was happening and then I just wanted to take pictures.
